Hotels near Ohio Veterans Homes Military Museum.Hotels near Great Wolf Lodge Water Park.Sandusky Hotels with Laundry Facilities.I will be taking my daughter back for her birthday. I fully expected the rooms to be worn down with stains from past families however I can honestly say that the room itself was worth the price. The most impressive thing for me however, was the cleanliness of the room. We also enjoyed the various activities throughout the day for the children and breakfast was great. That made me feel safe to let me little one enjoy herself a bit more without me hovering over her at every move. There was so much to do! I was very relieved to see how "on-guard" the life guards were. I accepted the request and glad I did! My little one thoroughly enjoyed the water park.

We booked the kids cabin room but were asked to accept a standard room in exchange for a complimentary wolf pass, free breakfast and a late check-out.apparently they over booked for my selected room. That makes no sense.Įither way, this was a last minute trip as my original plans were canceled due to a canceled flight. Impressed! I see many people complain about how much the rooms are, however I would suggest that you not book if you feel that it's too expensive instead of paying and then complaining. Regardless, everything else was a lot of fun. I was really looking forward to lounging on the river, but it's very small, kind of boring, and too many kids were just running through it, so it wasn't super relaxing. The lazy river sort of left something to be desired.

Not like Kalahari which is very young adult-adult focused. But more parking would definitely be nice.ĭefinitely a VERY kid focused place. But it initially took a bit to find an open spot close to the room. I thankfully found a decent spot, and was able to for the most part, just stay in that spot. We didn't eat much there other than breakfast, but that was definitely worth the price. Allowed us to still hangout in the room without disturbing them too much. I definitely recommend if you have toddlers who need naps and such. We had a suite, so the bunk beds were very nice, and in a separate little room. Quiet time is at 11, and it was definitely quiet. But they could really use some more comfy pillows. My only real complaint is that the pillows in the rooms weren't very good. We got the unlimited breakfast both mornings and it was very tasty. I can definitely see myself bringing the family again. Me and my family had a really good time! I don't really have any complaints. Overall, we had a fun time, and we would definitely go back. If possible, bring your own food and drink, and avoid the extra expenses. In summary, the value here is in the hotel and water park. We had a fantastic breakfast, and the total bill was about what it would’ve cost for one of us to eat the buffet. I suggest going into town to one of the few local diners. I recommend skipping the breakfast buffet all together, it’s almost 20 bucks per person, and it’s pretty much what most hotels would provide for free. There’s a Quaker Steak and Lube attached to the hotel, and that seemed to be the best value for food on site. The on site “restaurants” are more like snack bars, and everything they sell is overpriced. It is also 20 dollars per person, and they only give you 30 minutes to complete an hours worth of tasks. The escape room on site is cool, but it’s definitely geared towards older kids. Keep away from the claw machines, they are clearly rigged to not let you win. The arcade is nice, but your money goes real fast there. As with any amusement park type of destination, every extra in the hotel is very expensive. There are lifeguards everywhere, and the staff was all very friendly. The water park is a little small, but it is entertaining for the younger kids. In fact we had arrived at around 1:30pm planning on using the water park until our room was ready, and I was surprised to find it ready when we got there. Nothing stuck out as dirty or gross to us. The room wasn’t very big, but it was pretty clean. The hotel has a very fun look and feel to it, both inside and out. For a little more than the price of a standard hotel, you get a mini water park destination geared towards kids. Sure, it’s not Kalahari, but it was less than half the price per night. For starters, I thought the price was very reasonable for what you get. I took my 9 year old here on a last minute, one night trip.
